Canadian artist Michelle Titian has a unique vocal and writing ability. Her passionate performances have drawn attention in North America from some of the finest music industry people.
Michelle has been surrounded by music her entire life. Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, she is currently working on a new album. Michelle's songwriting is constantly evolving. As her life progresses and she gains experience, it shows in her songwriting. Michelle's combination of lyrics, music and stunning performances make this artist/singer-songwriter a powerful force in the music industry.
Michelle has been writing and performing her beautiful music since the age of 16 when she began her studies in vocals with Ed Johnson, a highly in demand tenor who sang opera across North America. She began singing lead in her high school musicals which won her various accolades at a young age. Her passion for music and performing brought her to the Music Theatre program at Sheridan College.
After building a strong educational baseline in music she moved to Nashville in 2004 to begin writing full time. Michelle released her Self Titled Debut album in 2006. Michelle has toured the world playing music and has had great success in Canada with spins on CBC and various International radio stations. In 2007 Michelle won the Female Artist of the Year Award at the Hamilton Music Awards. She has been praised by many critics including Graham Rockingham who said “Michelle Titian has the voice of an angel - her version of Tennessee Waltz never fails to bring tears to my eyes”
Recovery - Michelle struggled with alcohol for many years. Seeking help through a 12-step program, Michelle has been sober since March 10th 2014. Motivated to write again, she wrote the song "DRIVE", a song about her recovery that will be released off her new album.
Michelle is excited to be working on new music that will certainly launch her further onto an international stage as a bona fide songwriter and performer.
